Cowboy Kyle

The cutest cowboy I've ever seen
Kyle spent the afternoon riding Gretchen. He has learned how to ride her all by himself. Kyle even has a saddle and stirrups just his size that Papa & Mamaw Broeker got him for Christmas. Now that the weather is warmer Kyle will be getting lots of use out of them.

Kyle got a lesson today from Papa on how to get off Gretchen by himself. Papa was there just in case when he showed Mommy his new skills, but Kyle did just fine.

Hannah & Kyle just hangin' out

Hannah watching Bubby ride. Hannah loves to watch the horses and the donkey but has no desire to go any closer than she is right here.

Getting dirty

Hannah was quite proud of her dirty feet.
Kyle and Hannah have so much fun playing in the sandbox now that the weather is warmer.

Look at me -- I'm a princess!

Today was quite an adventure for Miss Hannah Grace. We went dress shopping for a flower girl dress. She was in heaven getting to try on so many fancy dresses. She had so much fun! She can't wait until Uncle Steven & Aunt Kara's wedding so she can get all dressed up like a princess again.

Kyle earned his Camo Belt

Kyle had a belt rank promotion test on Tuesday. He had to do his forms, one-steps, nunchucks, and self-defense. Because he is still considered a Tiny Tiger (the preschool Taekwondo program) he doesn't have to memorize any of his material. However, he must be able to mimick his instructor. We were very proud of him. He did an excellent job. He especially did great with his nunchucks. He is now a Camo Belt!
Master Brice and Mrs. Moreland congratulating Kyle on his belt rank promotion.

Master Brice put on Kyle's new Camo Belt for him.

Spring is in the Air

Kyle ran in the house from playing yesterday and proudly announced, "Mom, these are just for you." He had picked them for me right from the backyard. I thought it was very sweet. He was amazed to see the yellow flower open up in just a few short hours. I'll have to have a talk with him about picking flowers from the yard before we plant our flowers this summer.

Hannah couldn't wait to get ouside and smell the flowers that suddenly appeared in the yard.

Cousins

Kyle & Hannah had fun visiting with their only cousin, Christian. Kyle can't wait until Christian is big enough to play cars & trucks with him. Hannah likes babies so much that she wishes he would stay little forever.

Kyle's 4th Birthday

Kyle turned 4 on Saturday, April 5th. We had his party on Sunday, April 6th. He had a John Deere themed party. It was such a beautiful day, so the kids enjoyed playing ball, jumping in the jump house and riding bikes outside. We were actually able to gather all of the kids that were there for a picture. This was the closest I was able to get to everyone sitting in one spot and looking at the camera. It's a difficult job to gather that many kids for a picture!

Kyle with his John Deere cake wearing his John Deere shirt.

Kyle even got a John Deere tractor from Tammy & Steve. Steve bought this tractor for Kyle before he even knew what the party theme was.
Wow!
This one is the largest tractor Kyle has by far!

Kyle & Maddie trying to open the 200 balls Mamaw & Papa Pickerill got Kyle to put in his jump house. He got to open this present right away so that they could use them.

Kyle and Trenton stopped playing just long enough for me to snap a picture of the two of them.

A visit from Uncle Adam & Aunt Benecia

Uncle Adam and Aunt Benecia came in for Kyle's birthday. They spent Saturday night with us. Kyle & Hannah especially enjoyed playing hide-n-seek and coloring with them. I believe, most of all, they loved the donuts that Uncle Adam & Aunt Benecia surprised them with Sunday morning!

Look Mom - I can draw!!!!

Kyle got bored with coloring on paper. So, he decided to strip off his shirt and color himself. I was actually quite impressed with the smiley face he drew on his stomach. However, what this picture does not show is that Kyle is wearing his underwear and the marker stripes are running up and down his legs, also.
