Learning to Knit

Aunt Benicia worked with Hannah on Thanksgiving Day to teach her how to knit using some looms.  She has been working all weekend on her project now, and has also taught me how to knit on the circle looms.  We made a trip to buy more yarn and we’ve had fun knitting away together. 

My project….who knows if I’ll get it done, but I’ve gotten a good start.

Parish Picture

We went and had our parish picture taken this evening.  I was really happy with the way one of the pictures of the kids turned out.  I’m excited to get them back.

Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with both sides of our family at our house.  I realize now that I didn’t take very many pictures at all.  I’m usually running around like crazy trying to get everything pulled together, so a quick snap of the kids is all I got….oh and the banner Hannah made for the mantle.

Snow Day

This week we were home from school for President’s Day and then had 3 more days off because of snow.  The kids enjoyed getting out and having FUN during their first snow days of the year!

Meet Between Friends

 

Today Hannah had her Meet Between Friends at Newburgh Tumbling to kick off the meet season.  She did a great job (even though she took a fall on her 2nd tumbling pass).  I was proud of her, she jumped right back up and saluted the judges with a smile.  She ended up with a 1st on trampoline, a 1st on double-mini and a 3rd on tumbling.

Hannah’s First Reconciliation

This evening was Hannah’s First Reconciliation.  It was such a special evening for her.  I’m so proud of  her. 

Happy 7th Birthday Christian

Today we got to celebrate Christian’s 7th birthday!  Happy Birthday Christian.  We LOVE you so much!!

Goebel Farms

This evening I went with the Girl Scouts to Goebel Farms for the Fall Event.  The girls had a great time.  They got to do so many different stations there including pumpkin decorating, hay rides, barn slides, flashlight tag, s’mores making, roasted hot dogs over the fire, and visited the pumpkin patch. 

Hannah ran into her friend Lindsey there
