Breakfast: Made by Kyle

This morning Kyle came and woke us up to tell us he had breakfast all ready for us.  When I came downstairs, this is what I found....
I love how he added the 'hair' to his smiley face.

Isn't he the sweetest?

Rainy, Cold Day = Chuck E Cheese to the Rescue

Yesterday was such a yucky day outside (compared to the weather we've had this week).  We had gotten so used to playing outside, going on walks and all the other fun things that come with warmer weather. We decided we'd make another fun day out of our spring break week by going to Chuck E Cheese for lunch.  (It was busy.  I believe everyone had the same idea).  We still had a great time.  The kids saved their tickets because we'll be going again in less than 2 weeks (on Kyle's actual birthday) for our school fundraiser night.

Bathroom Remodel

When we moved into our house 5 years ago, the downstairs bathroom was going to be one of the first rooms on the remodel list.  Well, it's turned into one of the last rooms we've redone.  It's still not 100% complete.  I've picked out some wall word art I still want, but it's so nice to finally have it done.  I'm glad to be rid of the ugly mauve color!!

My Little Helper

Hannah is always so quick to help me in the kitchen, not matter what it is I'm doing.  Tonight I started unloading the dishwasher.  Once again, she jumped right in to help.  What a sweetie!

Kyle's New Hobby

As you all know, Kyle has quite the fascination with building things, Legos..construx, lincoln logs, knex, etc. Now his hobby has also turned to taking things apart and rebuilding them into new things. He came across one of his Daddy's screw drivers, and the rest of the story is in the pictures!

It started with this...it used to be a Monster Truck

The next day I walked into this...

He worked on it for what seemed like hours

Look at all those screws

The next morning I woke up to find him already down working again.  He was determined.

Look at all those parts.

Now he has a container of lots of parts just waiting for the construction of something new.  I know he will come up with many things.  He is very creative.  I hear his Daddy used to do this same thing!  Ben is pretty handy, so all the practice must have paid off.

P.S.  Tammy & Steve, I do realize this is the firetruck you all got for him.  (I'm sorry that it's in tiny pieces now).  Just think, though, 4 years later and he is still playing with it.  That says a lot.

Cousins

This past Monday evening we went to Jason & Natalie's house to grill out for dinner.  The weather was perfect for an evening outside!  The kids had such a fun time playing together!  I can't wait until the weather STAYS nice, so we can do this more often.

Hanging out with Uncle Adam & Aunt Benicia

Last weekend Adam & Benicia came down.  They stopped at our house to visit with Kyle & Hannah on Saturday.  That evening we all went to Ben's parents house for dinner.  We had a great time hanging out together.  Our time between visits definitely are too long!

After dinner Hannah got to make a bracelet.  She got to pick out the beads and everything from Aunt Benicia's stash.  I got a quick tutorial on making Rosaries.  I also picked out the beads that I'm going to use to make Jaxson and Emma's rosaries.  Hopefully, they'll get their Rosaries before the summer is over.

Uncle Adam & Uncle Mark ready to offer some assistance, if needed.

Uncle Adam helped her get it all tied and ready.

And a few more...

Here's a few pics a had on my camera from Emma's baptism weekend.  The kids had so much fun!

This pictures says it all!  Kyle spent ALOT of time playing Super Mario Brothers on the Wii (he absolutely loves this game) and Hannah spent her time chasing and playing with Ali (she absolutely loves this dog).

Of course, Hannah had to read all of us a story.

Here she is later...still a book in her hand.  I just hopes she continues this love of books when she gets in school.

Kisses from Ali

Emma's Baptism Pics (Finally)

I posted that I would be posting pics of Emma's baptism.  I was waiting on the CD of the pictures from Kara.  She sent them weeks ago.  I've just been overwhelmed with lots of things going on, so I haven't been able to blog at all! I'm on Spring Break this week, so here's hoping I can get a little got up with my blogging.

Emma decided she was going to pee on her Daddy during the baptism as soon as her diaper came off.  It was definitely a funny moment!!

Saturday Night Fun

On Saturday night Jason, Natalie, Christian & Jaxson came over to hang out.  We ordered pizza for dinner and  Natalie brought fruit salsa and cinnamon & sugar pita chips (yummy...love it)!  Kyle, Hannah & Christian played all evening in the basement together.  They always have so much fun together.  Us adults enjoyed just hanging out & talking.  I especially enjoyed my cuddle time with Baby Jax on the couch.  I just can't get enough of him!!  (I stole the picture below off Natalie's blog.  Thanks, Natalie!)

me telling Jax I was going to go get my PJs on and then we were going to have some cuddle time on the couch!
getting in some lovin' with Christian...
This little boy also completely has me wrapped around his finger!  When he came upstairs from playing and wanted cake....Aunt Jamie whipped up an Angel Food cake for him (the box kind, of course:)

A Great Weekend

Friday night we went to Fun Fest at school.  We all had a great time.  Kyle had lots of luck at the 2 liter ring toss!  He ended up bringing home six 2-liters!!  The next morning, the kids and I got up to head to Tennessee with my parents (poor Ben missed out because he had to work the weekend).  We got to my brother's house a little after noon.  It was great to get to see Emma again.  I hadn't seen her since she was born and she'd grown so much already!  We hung out at their house and then had a late lunch of tacos before getting ready for Emma's Baptism.  Emma was baptized after the 5:30 mass. I took pictures for Steven & Kara during the Baptism, so I have none on my camera.  Pictures of the weekend will follow soon.  (Steven & Kara are sending me a cd from their camera).
