Wednesday Play Date

Every Wednesday this summer there is a play date for anyone who can make it. I hosted today's play date at our house. We grilled hotdogs for lunch and the kids enjoyed the slip-n-slide, bounce house, trampoline and Wii. It was fun for us Moms to get to talk and hang out while the kids enjoyed their time.

Eclipse

Last night nine of us girls went to watch the Twilight trilogy....that's right 8 1/2 hours in the movie theater. Several of us met for dinner first at AppleBees and then headed to Showplace around 6:00 where we met up with everyone else. The first movie started at 7:00. The 3rd movie and the one we'd been waiting so long to see started at midnight. I love all the movies, and the books are even better, but I do have to say that Eclipse has been my favorite of the three. I had so much fun with the girls and can't wait for the next two movies to be released!! Before the movie....I was in my Vampire shirt, Brandi was reading the US copy that had an article about Edward and Bella and Renee was trying to finish up the Eclipse book before the midnight showing. She had read it before, but was trying to get a 2nd reading of it in before the movie release.

Doctor's Visit

Kyle had his 6 year check-up with Dr. Schapker yesterday. I knew the boy had grown, but Dr. Schapker said he really hit a growth spurt this past year! He went from the 50th percentile to the 75th percentile in weight and from the 75th percentile to the 90th percentile in height. He grew over three inches this past year! He wasn't really too excited about going to the Dr. until I told him he didn't have to get any shots. Well, we didn't get out of there without any shots....Kyle was safe, but Hannah had to get one. I took her preschool vaccine paper to be filled out. She had all of the required vaccines, but they saw where she hadn't had her chickenpox vaccine. They were out of it when she was to get it. No big deal. They said they could give it today. Sorry Hannah! She was really nervous when I told her. I had to promise her a Sonic slushie to calm her down. She did GREAT, though....not even a flinch or one single tear!!

I came in and found Hannah & Sadie curled up on the chair sound asleep. We all missed Sadie so much when we were away. How sweet!!

Weekend at the lake house

We just returned Sunday evening from an amazing weekend at a lake house near Edinburgh, Indiana. We went with all of the Broeker family and Benecia's Dad and Step-Mom. Her step-sister and her boyfriend were also there. We had SO MUCH FUN! There was swimming, boating, tubing, paddleboat rides, fishing and incredible food & drinks! I can't wait to do it again next summer!! As soon as we got there Kyle and Hannah wasted no time getting in the water

These 2 had so much fun all weekend. They are exactly 1 month apart in age. Kyle was born 4-5-04 and Trey was born 5-5-04.
