Adventure Science Center

On Saturday in between hospital visits we took Kyle and Hannah to the Adventure Science Center.  We went there the last time we were in Tennessee and it was a lot of fun.  When we got there I was suprised because the parking lot was full.  Well, it turned out to be 1/2 price day.  It was a little busier than usual, but it was worth it for the great admission deal!

Tennessee Continued....

The kids and I and my mom spent the night at Steven & Kara's house Friday and Saturday night.  I had a really hard time getting it across to the kids that Uncle Steven & Aunt Kara wouldn't be there.  They just couldn't understand why we would be at their house without them.  I think once they saw them at the hospital with Emma they understood.  Thanks Steven & Kara for sharing your home with us for the weekend!!!

They loved piling all the pillows on the couch and pretending it was their "house".

Hi Hannah & Jenny

The kids all ready for bed.  I usually sleep in their guest bedroom when I go, but this time I slept on the other couch  in the living room with the kids.  Their couch was so comfy that I decided that's where I'll be sleeping from now on when I visit them.

Just look at that sad face....Hannah just cried and cried her eyes out because she wanted Ali to be there.  Ali was at the kennel for the weekend.  Hannah was so, so sad!

Welcome Emma Elizabeth!!

1-14-2011 -  After passing the time reading magazines, eating, playing DS games and playing on my phone Emma Elizabeth finally arrived at 9:32 p.m. via c-section.  We were all excited to finally get to meet her!!  Steven called my cell phone and said, "Tell everyone to come to the nursery window."  And there he was with Emma!!
Kyle & Hannah are always excited to get to see Uncle Steven

Me and my little brother not long after Emma had made her appearance

I kind of got a little teary eyed standing at the nursery window watching Steven.  I said, "That's my little brother in there."

Hannah decided that since everyone else was taking pictures that she needed to, also.  She grabbed her DS and started snapping away.

Welcome, Emma!

The kids and I just returned from Tennessee where I got to meet my first niece.  We had a great weekend!  Kyle, Hannah, my mom and I spent a lot of time visiting Steven, Kara and Emma and also got in some other fun things.  We went to the Adventure Science Center on Saturday afternoon.  We went there the last time we were in Tennesse and the kids enjoyed it so much.  We also made a few trips to the mall and got to enjoy dinner at Logan's Saturday night with Steven.  It was a fun weekend, and I'm so glad I got to be there to meet my niece.  She is just a doll!  I will post pictures soon from our weekend.

Welcome Baby Jaxson!!

Today I got to help welcome my nephew into the world.  It was such an AMAZING day!!  I had planned on taking a 1/2 personal day today to go to the hospital to be with Jason & Natalie, but we had a snow day today....which really worked in my favor.  I ended up going to the hospital around 10:30.  We passed the time watching episodes of Friends.  It was fun watching the episodes where Rachel is pregnant.  Jaxson arrived at 2:58, and I am so glad I got to be there to see him enter the world.  I have only witnessed my own childrens' births, so it was different being on the other side of things.  I videotaped for Natalie, and I don't think I had a dry eye the entire time.  There was such an emotional energy in the room and I feel SO blessed to have been a part of it.  Thank you, Jason & Natalie for letting me be a part of your special day.  I love you both so much and can't wait to make memories with Jaxson!

aren't they sweet?
Natalie brought the banner we made to hang above her bed...so cute!

For Kelly

This post is for my friend, Kelly.  She asked me if I was going to post a picture of the card tree with all the Christmas cards on it.  So, here it is.  I really like how the tree turned out, and will be doing the same thing again next year.  I always leave the Christmas decorations up through the Epiphany.  I believe I'm going to take them all down this evening.  I hate to....I believe I could keep the Christmas trees up year round.  I especially enjoy seeing all the photo cards on our card tree of friends and family.  I'll be adding those to my Christmas card scrapbook soon.

Meeting Wyatt

Hannah and I went to meet baby Wyatt today at the hospital.  He is so, so sweet!!  He was born Friday evening.  Hannah was so excited to get to hold him.  She loved loving on him, but then when I asked her if she wanted one at home, she replied very simply, "No."

Congratulations Jon & Jessica!!!
