Conner's Baptism

On Sunday, July 19th we were there to help celebrate Conner's Baptism. It was such a special day and Ben and I were so honored to be there with him as his Godparents. Hannah kept saying Conner was going to get a "bath".

How adorable does he look?

The holy water used was extra special because it was the rain water from Tammy & Steve's wedding day. I believe Conner wouldn't had minded at all that water was being poured over his head had it not went in his eyes, nose and mouth too.

Conner changed out of his Baptismal outfit so that he could get right down to the celebration.

Conner got Ben and I this adorable stone. It was so sweet and we love it. Thank you so much, Conner. You are a very special little boy.

This is going to be one spoiled little Godson.

Boating

After going to Pump It Up we headed out on the river with Jason, Natalie & Christian. We had so, so much fun and I can't wait to go again! The weather was a little cool and the boat ride out to the island was very bumpy, but we still had a GREAT time! Loving the boat ride

Catching a wave...right in the face. Kyle loved the water!!

Pump It Up

On Friday morning we took the kids to Pump It Up. We all had so much fun. Kyle loved everything, while Hannah was still just a little bit scared of the slides. Ben enjoying the slides

Hannah loved jumping in the jump houses

Look at that smile!

Kyle loved going through the obstacle and down the slide the best

Hannah went down a couple of times with either Ben or myself. She wasn't too sure about the slides, though.

Just hanging out

Vacation Bible School

The kids and I have been spending our evenings this week at Vacation Bible School. They have had so much fun. Kyle looks so forward to it each evening and he talks about it all day. I got to visit him in his classroom lastnight because I was taking pictures. I can see why he is enjoying it. He has a great teacher who really gets the little ones involved in the learning. Lastnight when I walked into his classroom he was dressed up as Jesus. The lights were out, a strobe light was producing lightening and kids were banging on pots to produce the sound of thunder. Everyone was scared, but Jesus was able to calm the storm. Watching Kyle lastnight dressed as Jesus and the excitement they all had was enough to bring tears to my eyes. I will be posting pictures soon.

Chicago

I spent most of last week in Chicago at a conference. Most of our day was spent being in conference rooms; however, we did get to do a little sight-seeing in the evenings and ate at some really great restaurants. My favorite restaurant was the Rocky Bottom Brewery restaurant. I ate at one of these last year at a conference in Columbus, also. I went with Abbie and my principal, Nancy. We had so much fun and I learned a lot. I am so excited about getting the school year started now!! Here are a few pics from our time in Chicago.

I loved sitting at Lake Michigan. It was gorgeous. I could've sat there all day!

Our hotel...it was so nice. The highlight of our room was that Abbie and I each had our own bed and our own full bathroom. We were impressed with that.
