This past Tuesday we had a work day to get some things ready for the Summer Social. Brandi, Renee, Velvet and my Mom all came over to help with the madness! We painted games, scheduled workers, and made backdrops for the main games. The kids all played so well together, and had so much fun! At one point, I walked around front to check on them and this is what I saw. Just the girls hanging out (minus Cydney, who had already left for the day). Too cute.
We were finally able to go to Holiday World for the first time this summer this past Friday. I had CPR traning first thing in the morning, and then we headed out for the rest of the day. We decided it was still a little cold for swimming, so we didn’t get to visit Splashin’ Safari. Hannah is officially tall enough to ride every ride! She was so excited about that. Her new rides this time that she got to try was the Swings – she rode these twice, Revolution – she loved this one, and her first official real rollercoaster! She rode The Raven. I was shocked that she even wanted to!! She was excited at first, but as soon as we headed down the hill and the momentum gained – she was done! She decided that the rollercoaster was a little too fast for her! It was a GREAT day!

Kyle – First day of third grade and last day of third grade
Tonight Kyle and Hannah both had a game, and Ben was out of town. Fortunately for me both games were at the same place and Hannah’s starting a 1/2 hour earlier. I spent part of the time standing between the 2 fields watching both of them. At one point, I had Hannah playing 1st base on one field, and Kyle playing 1st base on the other field.
It’s much more difficult to take pictures during Kyle’s games because I can’t go out on the field like I can during the tee-ball games!
Field day is always a highly anticipated day at the end of the school year. This was Kyle’s 4th year participating, and Hannah’s 1st year for Field Day! I was able to snap a few pictures of the kids during the day.

Kyle has now decided he wants to learn to play the guitar, too. So, the plan is for Hannah, Kyle and myself to take lessons. Hannah already has a guitar. Kyle has his Aunt Benicia’s, and I bought my brother, Steven’s guitar. We are set!!
Happy Mother’s Day to my mom and mother-in-law (Mamaw Lee Ann & Mamaw Joanie). We love you both so much!!!
Kyle and Hannah attended a GLVC baseball clinic this afternoon afterschool. It was a long evening for Kyle because he had a game right after the clinic. It was hosted by the Bellarmine team from Louisville. Kyle and Hannah both enjoyed the clinic, and I believe they learned some things from it.
