Race for the Cure

The kids and I participated in the Race for the Cure this year. The teachers had a team and we all walked in memory of Paula Slow.

Kyle walked the entire race...with just a few whines. Hannah walked part of it, but mostly enjoyed the race riding in the stroller.

Buster Bear

Kyle got to bring home Buster Bear from school. Buster Bear visits each child's house for a week. They read books together and fill out a journal of Buster's stay. Kyle was the first one to get to bring Buster home this year.

Kyle and Buster doing Buster's journal

Kyle had to draw a picture of himself and list some things he liked about himself. Kyle liked his missing tooth, his freckles and blue eyes.

Kyle covered Buster up every night and gave him a pillow. Buster slept in a basket in Kyle's room.

Broeker Open

Ben and I played in the Annual Broeker Open Golf Scramble. Our team consisted of us and Adam & Benicia. We ended up tying with several other teams for second place. The kids hung out with Grandma Broeker while we played golf. After the scramble, we headed to the park for dinner and to hang out with all the Broeker's. It was a great day!!

Our team...only picture I got during the scramble.

Ben with some help from his Dad made the awards for the winners. I think they turned out so well. I really, really wanted one!

These two don't get to see each other very often, but they have so much fun together when they do get together!

Happy Birthday, Emmy!

Hannah and I headed to Roca Bar to celebrate Emmy's 1st birthday. Ben and Kyle were at football practice. Hannah & Keelin had so much fun dancing around

singing to the birthday girl

Happy Birthday, Emmy!!

Emmy opening her present from us. We got her the Dora the Explorer singing birthday doll.

First Tooth....GONE!!

Kyle was soooo excited to finally lose his first tooth! He had been loose for quite some time. All of his friends were losing teeth and he wanted to lose his, too. He had even written about it in writing at school. Before school, he was wiggling it and it was just barely hanging on. I told him his Daddy would pull it if he wanted him to. Surprisingly, Kyle said, "Yes." In a matter of seconds, it was gone. It was cute to watch him show everyone at school his new smile.
Look how cute that new smile is

Mamaw Lee Ann made this tooth bag for him. He's had it for awhile, just waiting. It is the best thing because you just hang the bag on the bed post. No worries with losing a tooth under the pillow....makes it really easy for the tooth fairy to find it!

Kyle woke up to find the tooth fairy had left $2.00 for him.....only $23.00 less than he was hoping:)
