Winner

Kyle and I went to the Health Fair that Good Shepherd and Holy Spirit hosted.  They had ALL kinds of prizes to win.....lots of sports equipment, Wii games and consoles, Sony PlayStation, etc...and what did Kyle win???? This PINK baseball helmet.  He got soooo excited when his name was called, then I said, "Uhhhh, Kyle, I think you just won a PINK helmet."  He had a good laugh about it.  He was a good sport.  He said he was going to give it to his sister.  When he got home, he wrapped it up in tissue and a gift bag and suprised Hannah with it.  She was excited since it's her first year playing t-ball. 

Hanging Out

March 10 - This evening we went to Jason & Natalie's house to grill out for dinner.  Josh, Brittany and Ty came, too.  We all always have so much fun hanging out.  Jason grilled burgers and hotdogs. I brought a cake to celebrate Ben's birthday, and the kids had fun decorating it. 

 

My Running Partners

Now that the weather is getting nicer, it has inspired me to get out and get moving!  The kids and I have been walking/running.  This day we went down to the riverfront in Newburgh and jogged over 2 miles.  They are really good running partners, they did a terrific job staying with me and (keeping me motivated).  I'm afraid that our schedules are going to get ready to get really crazy with the end of school duties of a special education teacher (end of year case conferences & paperwork) and baseball season starting with two kids playing this year.  I'm sure it's going to interfere with this plan we got going.  Hopefully, we can keep up some kind of schedule.  Otherwise, I suppose we have the summer!

Sunday with Grandparents

Sunday, March 4  - On Sunday my parents came over for dinner.  Ben grilled pork tenderloin because it was such a gorgeous day outside.  So, we had pork tenderloing with all of the fixings to go with it; corn, baked potatoes, baked beans and a pinterest inspired fresh strawberry cake.  It was all delicious.  I'm loving all of this warm weather.  It definitely gets you in the mood for grilling out and being outside!

Visiting Great Grandma

Saturday, March 3 - Today we went to Huntingburg to visit Great Grandma Broeker.  We had a nice visit and the kids always enjoy playing with all her toys.  Hannah entertained her singing some of her songs.  After vising her, we went to a few shops in the area and then had dinner at Schnitzelbank.  It was delicious!  We had a great day hanging out.
